Yes, shortsightedness, also known as myopia, can sometimes improve or stabilize as a person gets older. This can happen as the eye continues to grow and develop into adulthood. However, for some people, myopia may continue to progress, especially during childhood and adolescence. It is important for individuals with myopia to have regular eye exams to monitor their vision and to discuss treatment options with an eye care professional. **

Back then, shortsightedness referred to a physical condition where a person had difficulty seeing objects in the distance clearly. It was commonly known as myopia, a condition where light entering the eye is focused in front of the retina instead of directly on it, resulting in blurred vision for distant objects. People with shortsightedness often needed to wear glasses or contact lenses to correct their vision. **

No, 3 is not a lot of shortsightedness. Shortsightedness, also known as myopia, is a common vision condition where distant objects appear blurry. The severity of shortsightedness is typically measured in diopters, with lower numbers indicating mild myopia and higher numbers indicating more severe myopia. A prescription of -3 diopters would be considered moderate myopia, but not necessarily a lot. **

It is highly unlikely that shortsightedness can improve by 200 diopters. Myopia, or shortsightedness, is typically caused by the shape of the eyeball or the curvature of the cornea, and these physical characteristics do not typically change by such a large amount. While it is possible for myopia to improve or worsen slightly over time, a change of 200 diopters would be extremely rare and would likely require medical intervention. It is important to consult with an eye care professional for any significant changes in vision. **

If an individual's shortsightedness is severe and cannot be corrected to meet these standards, they may not be able to pursue a career as a pilot. It is important for individuals with dreams of becoming a pilot to have regular eye exams and address any vision issues early on to prevent their dream profession from being hindered by shortsightedness. **
